About Goldmonk

Goldmonk exists because most gold-investing content in India is either outdated, written to sell you a specific product, or both.

What we do differently

We lead with tables and tools instead of long articles, and we flag when rules have changed — like the Sovereign Gold Bond tax change from Budget 2026, which much of the existing content online still hasn't caught up on.

How we make money

Right now: nothing. This site currently carries no ads and no affiliate links. If that changes in the future, it will likely be through affiliate links to gold-buying platforms or brokers — and we'll disclose that clearly wherever it happens, rather than hiding it in fine print.

What we don't do

We don't require sign-up to read anything or use any calculator. We don't track you across the web. We use privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics only to see which pages are useful, not to profile individual visitors.

Keeping this current

Gold investment rules — especially tax treatment — change often in India. Every page carries a "last checked" date. If you spot something outdated, that's useful to know; this is a young site and still being built out.
